Labyrinth

The Prayer Labyrinth

Monday, April 15th – Friday, April 19th

During Holy Week, St. James will be hosting a labyrinth with stations to meditate on the last days of Jesus Christ. It will be available for a self-guided walk from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm Monday – Thursday, and 9:00 am – 3:00 pm on Friday.
What is a labyrinth, you ask? A labyrinth is an intricately woven pattern that is walked by many as a way to experience peace and clarity. Walking the labyrinth is an ancient, sacred custom that symbolizes wholeness. It has been used as a tool for prayer and meditation for thousands of years. It is different from a maze in that a maze is a puzzle that needs solving. A labyrinth has only one path where the way in is the same as the way out. The path leads one to the center and back out again.
