Seek-&-Pray-Banner

“Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplications for the saints, and also for me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.”

    Ephesians 6:18 – 20.

The St. James Prayer Ministry meets every 3rd Thursday evening of each month at 7:00 pm in the Parlor.
All are welcome to join with us in prayer and spiritual inspiration.

The National Day of Prayer – May 4, 2017.

We have a spiritual responsibility in prayer – to pray to our Father in Heaven and to pray for each other, in accordance with 1 Timothy 2:1-2. We also have a civic responsibility to join together in prayer for our Nation, for our cities/towns, for our communities, for our families and homes.

Did you know that we have a law in place that requires our President of the United States to proclaim the 1st Thursday of May as our National Day of Prayer:

“The President shall issue each year a proclamation designating the first Thursday in May as a National Day of Prayer on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups, and as individuals.” (Public Law 105-225)

FOR YOUR GREAT NAME’S SAKE!  HEAR US…FORGIVE US…HEAL US!

This is the theme for this year’s National Day of Prayer. It is from Daniel 9:19   –   “O Lord, Listen! O Lord, Forgive! O Lord, Hear and Act! For Your Sake, O My God…”

The St. James Prayer Ministry invites you to join us in the Chapel of St. James on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 7:00 pm in prayer and praise of our Lord as a part of YOUR National Day of Prayer celebration!

At St. James, there are so many ways you can be involved in worship and service to God. And even in the Prayer Ministry, the opportunities are numerous and varied. How is your heart calling to you? We would be glad to share with you. We will have a Prayer Tent set up at Spring Fling.

Our next Monthly Prayer Vigil will be Monday, May 1, 2017.
The NDP service for St. James will be Thursday, May 4, 2017.
Our next Prayer Ministry meeting will be Thursday, May 18, 2017.
