Turkey Tree

The Turkey Tree – Thanksgiving Boxes

Each year, we teach our children that the Pilgrims were grateful for the Indians being good neighbors, so much so that the Indians were invited to share in a feast of celebration.  Again this Thanksgiving, the Children’s Fellowship and Growing In Grace ministries invite each of you to join us in being those good neighbors by supporting our St. James Turkey Tree.

Beginning October 29th, Turkey Trees will be on display in both the Narthex and CLMC Lobby.  Each turkey is labeled with a food item that is part of a Thanksgiving feast. We are asking you to choose a turkey (or turkeys) from the tree, purchase the item listed, and then

bring them to the Fellowship Hall by 9:00 am Sunday morning, November 19th

to be packed with others in a Feast Box.  Each box will be delivered to one of our Growing in Grace families and others in need – providing them with an entire Thanksgiving feast!

This year, we are asking for volunteers to help deliver the food on Sunday, November 19th.

This is a great project for families!  You can come pick up your box following worship and then deliver that box anytime that afternoon. Please sign-up online or through the church office for this meaningful way to bring joy to struggling neighbors.

We are also in need of boxes for the feasts.  Copy paper boxes with a lid are ideal for this project.  If you have any that could be donated, please bring them to the church office.
