William Edwards

Edwards-W-picWilliam Edwards is a baritone in his first year at ECU and SJUMC, but he is off to a busy and involved start! He is currently singing in the Chancel choir, playing handbells, studying voice with Dr. Rhodes, taking piano with Dr. Sekino, and performing with the ECU Chamber Singers. He will graduate in 2019 with a Major in Composition and a Minor in Theory. William’s great goal is to graduate with what he needs to discover the full potential within himself. He loves music because it is the most powerful language of all, with harmony woven throughout the human experience.

William’s home is in the small town of Kernersville, NC, where he participated in many musical opportunities. His mentor and greatest supporter was his father, who brought him up on teachings and daily mentalities that shaped who he is today. A great accomplishment was to conduct his high school choir and Dan Forrest during a music clinic.

William eventually plans to study Sacred Music in graduate school. He desires to become a church music director of contemporary and traditional services. William says that it is great to be involved in SJUMC this year. We are also grateful for your association with us. We look forward to our participation as you develop and move towards your goals! Welcome!
