Nicole Franklin

Director of Traditional Music

I serve alongside my husband, James, as Co-director of Sanctuary Worship at St. James United Methodist Church. I direct the handbell ensemble, St. James Ringers, sing as section leader in the Chancel Choir, teach a college Sunday School class, and am in the process of becoming a Congregational Care Minister. I have a passion for facilitating Bible studies and digging into Scripture with other fellow brothers and sisters.

I am also a member of the Vocal Studies faculty at East Carolina University, where I teach private voice and graduate vocal pedagogy. In addition to my life as a musician, I am deeply engaged in the work of racial reconciliation. In 2016, I started the first local Be the Bridge group, which has since expanded to three new groups in Greenville.
