ECU Music Students to Perform in the Sanctuary

A new concert series, organized by former St. James UMC choral scholar Jacob McCain, begins Saturday, June 22, at 6 p.m.
The Connect Concert Series will feature musicians from the ECU School of Music performing here in the Sanctuary at St. James, as we continue to build bridges between our church and university students.

The first concert will feature five musicians: Fiona Holler on violin, Joe Sipper on oboe, Dejuan Lee on piano, Kristi Roller on cello, and Kirsten Holley on piano.

Fiona Holler, Joe Sipper, and Dejuan Lee will perform two German arias, “Meine Seele hört im Sehen” and “Drei Romanzen für Violine und Klavier!”

Kristi Roller and Kirsten Holley will perform three pieces:
Elgar cello concerto movements 1 and 2, Carovani cello solo movements 1-3, and a hymn arrangement for cello and piano (TBD).

The Connect Concert Series continues on Saturday, June 29, at 5 p.m. (note time change) and Sunday, July 14, at 5 p.m. (note time and day change).

The concerts are free of charge, but donations are accepted and appreciated.
