Here is a list of facility management projects supported by the St. James UMC Board of Trustees in 2023.
- No major HVAC issues or repairs needed; maintained equipment with scheduled preventative maintenance service.
- All vans inspected, serviced and repaired as needed to support afterschool programs.
- Utility accounts managed below budget due to lock boxes, adjusted set points and scheduled controls.
- Installed IT network cabinet for security and organized equipment.
- Replaced dishwasher and automatic chemical pump with soap and drying agents in fellowship hall kitchen.
- Replaced shingled roof and repaired damaged wood root above fellowship hall.
- Upgraded numerous light fixtures to energy saving LED lights.
- Repainted Pastor and Associate Pastor’s offices.
- Salvaged materials and equipment and demolished the retreat house. Set up food pantry in CLMC storage.
- Reorganized storage rooms in CLMC to support programs and facility needs.
- Cleaned carpet in sanctuary.
- Cleaned stain glass windows in sanctuary.
- Stripped and waxed floors in Fellowship Hall, Sunday school wing, classrooms, narthex and 300 hallway.
- Removed diseased and declining shrubs, trees and plantings in various locations on property.
- Replaced both domestic water supply backflows units.
- Managed the facility usage and rental calendar.
- Set up and support provided for funerals, weddings, bible studies, meetings, youth programs, community events, seasonal programs and worship services.
