I oversee the preschool and afterschool ministries of St. James. I have served in my current role since December 2017. A big part of my role is to equip my staff to live into our mission of Follow Jesus, Love Others and Change the World. I oversee 22 afterschool staff and 18 preschool teachers.

I joined St. James in 2008 as a 3-year-old teacher. Since then I have worn many hats here that have helped to develop relationships with many at St. James family. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. I have both my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from La Roche College and my Master’s of Elementary Education from Duquesne University. Prior to St. James, I had over 12 years in retail, with my last position of Store Manager for Ann Taylor in Tulsa, OK.

Don and I have one son, Wesley, who is 17. Wesley is how I found St. James in 2007 when we moved here. North Carolina is my seventh state since 1994—hopefully my last. St. James has been my home ever since. We have two cats and we keep busy with Wesley’s activities of marching band and robotics.

My goal for my ministry area is to continue to grow each and touch as many children and families about how much Jesus loves us and wants to have a relationship with us.
