I have served as Director of Traditional Music at St. James United Methodist Church since fall 2016.  I have worked as a church musician for most of my life, having started singing in church choir as a youth at First Baptist Church in Odessa, TX.

In addition to my duties at St. James UMC, I serve as the Director of Choral Activities at East Carolina University, where I conduct the internationally renowned ECU Chamber Singers, direct the graduate program in choral conducting, and teach undergraduate conducting.

I am married to Nicole Franklin, the other Co-director of Sanctuary Worship.  Together we are the proud parents of Daniel and Catherine Franklin.
