Dan is the Associate Pastor of Outreach and Incorporation.  He will be working with the Pastor Tom to ensure the fulfillment of the fourfold ministry of Word, Sacrament, Order, and Service at St. James.  In addition, as the Associate Pastor, Dan serves as a partner with the Lead Pastor in leading St. James in our vision of ‘follow Jesus, love others, change the world” with primary responsibilities in the areas of Outreach and Incorporation.  He will provide the primary leadership in developing and implementing a plan for recruiting, identifying, and incorporating new persons in the life of the congregation, as well as develop and implement a plan for Missional Communities that involves persons at all levels of ability and commitment.

Dan grew up in Western Pennsylvania and moved to North Carolina in 2002.  It was during this move that he felt God telling him that “It was time” to answer the call to ministry.  He completed his undergrad at Campbell University, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration and received his Masters of Divinity from Duke.  Dan enjoys bowling, singing, mini-golf, taking walks, theatre, and making sure everyone feels welcomed and loved.
