Paula Hamlin

Receptionist and Administrative Assistant

Paula supports the staff, pastors, and the congregation of St. James UMC in many different ways:  As a receptionist, she greets people over the phone and in person, and provides information or resources for them; as an administrative assistant, she creates and prints many things that the church needs for worship and church information, such as bulletins, attendance cards, signage, note cards, and newsletters; as membership secretary, she maintains members records including class and worship attendance, and edits member profiles as milestones occur for each of them as well as compiles membership reports.

Paula has three grown children. Today, they would tell you that as a homeschooled family, they learned the value of having Christian parents that are fully involved in their spiritual and educational training. (Paula is sure, at times, they may have wished their parents were not so involved! Now that they are raising their children, it is funny how perspectives change!

Paula joined this wonderful team of dedicated servants in 2018. With over 30 years’ experience in administration, in a variety of industries she has been able to use her passion of serving God while serving others.

Paula believes St. James is a wonderful place to work, but also a place of grace, acceptance, and love, full of people who lavishly love and serve others through Jesus Christ.
